About Us

Created in 2011 by Jane Bonsor and Ted Utoft, Korla sells original printed interiors linens and cottons. We are based near Manchester and are distributed across the world. Bold colours, iconic motifs and strong patterns are coordinated across collections to give customers the ability and courage to mix, match and play with various prints. Our influences are often antique textiles and collected fabrics.  These traditional patterns are reworked through hand painting,  embellishment and experiment to create contemporary interpretations of historical patterns and weaves.

Our Inspiration

Jane Bonsor is the founder of Korla. After seven years building up her own fashion label Pocket Venus Jane started printing her fashion print designs onto heavier linen to use in her home. Korla developed with the partnership of Ted Utoft and Jules Haines.

Jane's contempory heritage taste is reflected in the Korla collections, 'I'm drawn to antique prints and weaves so I try to re-interpret these designs for Korla. I suppose our prints are an eclectic mix of geometrics!'. Her favourite print is the Breeze design which is a rhythmic mixture of painted line and cut out colour.
