It's been a year since we started chatting to the mad and wonderful Angie at Fred Lives Here (for previous blog posts see here) about covering her mid century modern furniture in Korla fabric. A year of fun. The chairs are all classics - 1950s & 60s chair design that has stood the test of time and are still as popular today as they were back then.
The feminine lines of the Swan Chair and Eiffel Rocking chair suit the blues and turquoises of these prints. And we love the contrast of angular geometric prints and curvy furniture.
With Fred Lives Here we have used Korla fabric in a way that gives the classics new life and energy, and the fabulous chairs have inspired us to be much more experimental with our upholstery mixes.
And finally, a trunk. With Korla fabric surprise inside. A kind of kinder surprise egg for your bedroom...
Not to forget the beautiful upholstered wing chair by Originals in Grand Alhambra Stars Aqua.
So a big THANKS to Fred Lives Here for encouraging us to reach deep into the Korla reserves of interior courage and be brave with mixing our prints.
Here's calling all sofa shops....are you brave enough?
